Hello!
I am planning a trip to Japan this summer (July) and I'm looking for places to stay. I'm planning on perusing Tokyo first, and then moving my way around if I have the means to do so.
I'm excited to experience art, anime, egl awesomeness, rad parties (with some dubstep, jungle, dancehall/reggae, dub, psychedelic, booty bass, breaks, etc.), engrish, food, and much, much more.
If any of you have been to Japan, or are in Japan, or whatnot, and can provide some suggestions, that would be awesome
I would prefer places to stay that are safe, friendly, quiet, clean, non-smoking, and affordable, as I am working on a budget.
Thanks so much for your help!
^_^

Re: where to stay and where to rock
Fri, June 15, 2007 - 5:49 PMthat's a tall order, hopefully you can experience as much of that as possible. other than here, you could also check out metropolis (<.com>, probably) for Tokyo info, Kansai Time Out for Osaka-Kobe-Kyoto-Nara info, and crisscross.com for some forums. If you need specific info about Osaka, feel free to send me a private message. -

Re: where to stay and where to rock
Sun, June 24, 2007 - 9:47 PMI nominate Koenji.. small funky town, heaps of live venues.. lots of live music. Close to Shibuya but a little quieter. Near all the great places, but a little more earthy and eccentric. Depends what you like. And how willing you are to go searching for the real thing. -
